My first introduction was Bat I. In the late seventies, my aunt (who is about 87 now) used to like to buy disco records. She looooves Tom Jones, too, btw.
But anyway, for some reason, she bought Bat, and of course didn't like it, so she gave it to my older brother. Somewhere around 1980, my brother went off to boot camp, and I was left with free reign of his record collection, which was quite extensive compared to mine at the time.
Anyway, I grabbed Bat because I had heard
Two Out of Three on the radio. It was amazing! I spent hours with it, listening and pouring over the liner notes. The rest, as they say, is history.
Oh, and my brother took his records back when he got home, so I had to go buy my own.
