The special effects range from excellent to very good throughout, although I'm not sure how the cinema experience will translate to home viewing. Take those effects out of the equation though and you're not left with much. The storyline is pretty basic and Sam Worthington isn't the best actor in the world.
Thanks for your feedback. Sometimes on the On Demand application of our cable system Bond films are available sans ads for a month. Perhaps next time I'll pick out a few you suggested and give them a go. As for Avatar, I think I'll view that sans family. I'm not big on special effects and I seldom go to the theater so I think I'll be okay with tv viewing. Thanks again !
