DON'T!
- Fat dribbles all down the back, so not only do you have to wash the removable plates, you then have to go back and clean the whole thing anyway thus there is more to clean than before!
- There is a bigger gap in the side, so fat splatters out
- It doesn't get as hot as the standard version, so your food will take longer to cook
- They only provide one fat catching thingy instead of two, so there's nowhere handy to rest your tongs!
I thought my old George was a great piece of kit, but this one makes me want to get the frying pan out!
Rant over.

I actually got one of the ones with removable plates now. Pretty good in my opinion, had it for about 1 1/2 years. Think it's the 12205 one that allows you to change the temperature (why I have no clue it's always set to 170 on mine).
I agree you sometimes have to clean behind the grill etc., but for me it's never been too bad, almost all the fat goes where it supposed to.
It's not perfect but then trying to clean a grill without being able to remove the plates is a fricking nightmare and you end up using rolls of kitchen paper, unless you've found another way of doing it?
