.... but what I do expect from an artist is someone who can take criticism ....
But saying a set list is "crap" and suggesting Meat gives a half-hearted performance is the kind of criticism that Meat should not have to take lying down .. particularly as the jokes are NOT identical each time, nor are the shows. Some jokes will remain for a few shows .. some will be new each time .. the interaction with the audience will vary .. as does Meat's delivery of the songs. And the simple fact is that Meat NEVER gives a half-hearted performance. He himself is the first to admit when his performance falls short of the high standards he sets himself .. but the point is that this is never for want of effort. He DOES give every show his all, and if you can't see that you are in a very, very small minority.

Constructive and fair criticism is one thing .. but some of yours have been neither fair nor constructive. Any performer who works his socks off to give the best show he can would be upset by being told his set list is crap, his performance half-hearted, or having a tour dismissed as "The having fun and making money tour". Meat's an emotional human being for heaven's sake .. and it's this emotion which when harnessed on stage gives us the passionate delivery which is so outstanding and which makes him the enduringly popular artist he is. . And imo he deserves some sensitivity from his fans, because he is a human being and because he DOES give his all for us, and to suggest he doesn't must be just about the most hurtful thing anyone could say to this generous, hardworking and big-hearted man
