Oh, I guess because American chocolate is all I've known since a child I don't find it unpleasant. I think I am more fond of Nestle's than I am of Hershey's. Hershey's chocolate seems thicker or something to me. Maybe it's a good thing they're adding air bubbles ... lol ... My fave candy bar is Kit Kat. I wasn't aware of the history of American chocolate.
