Well, happy Guy Fawkes Day, eh?

Meat says he won't come back to read or reply so I'm not sure anything can be done to get him back. I see he does want R to come along and be involved in the new site so the connection will still be there.

But, I know just where Meat is coming from in his work-a-day world. Let's face facts. Meat's "job" is to entertain. It's a job albeit a bit more glamorous (yeah right) than what other people do for a living, but I can identify with him. There you are, working your behind off to please everyone and you think you are doing a good job of it and you are pleased with yourself and then ...BOOM ...there's that one little bastid that you allow to ruin it for you. I have it happen to me nearly every other day. I'm working for a company that has had numerous cut-backs. I work in an office and as each member of staff leaves their job is dropped in my lap and I try to do my best to cover all bases, doing things that I've never done before, off the cuff, new things, trying new things, trying to do the old in a more efficient way, trying to please all, proud that I'm able to do the things, and BOOM, that one little bastid, I ALLOW to ruin it for me. And it hurts.
I'm not looking for an atta-girl or pat on the head at every turn. I just don't want a kick in the butt for one minor infraction.
To do a hundred things a day, 99 of them proper and 1 goes a bit by the wayside and that's the one that gets pointed out.
And that's where I see the point of what Meat is hurting about. He gives all of himself into each and every show and it's not just the 2 hours fans see. There's prep time, rehersal, changes, constant changes and what happens? He performs his butt off up there for 120 minutes sometimes more but for sake of argument take an even number and 119 of them to all are magical and then there's that one minute that someone points out, the sound went off, his voice went off, he didn't stand on their side of the stage, he didn't do their song, blah blah blah blah blah...
So, how really is he supposed to feel? He can't control how a fan feels. The fan has to bring that to the show. He can't control every single little thing that happens on the stage or in the theater, etc.
I'm rambling.
I'm upset.
I'm upset for Meat.
I'm upset for the fans that so enjoyed turning their computers on in the morning, as is MY habit, to see if he's visited here.
I'm upset for me.

As for him saying that, at this point in time there's no American leg scheduled, in my heart, I know, time will soothe, things will change.

Just yesterday I announced at work to those who care that they will be on their own the day Meat is playing where I can get to him because I'm not missing him. It could be the last I can ever see him and I intend to be there. I have faith he will be there and I will too.

He's always there for me, not in the physical sense, but in my heart and my mind. His music gets me through my lousy work-a-day life.

I'm rambling again.

Okay, I'm done now. It's the best I could do for 5am in the morning. There's probably more I want to say, could have said better.

Hope you did come back to read, Meat. Don't ALLOW the one bastid, or two, bring you down.

Take care.

Thank you, bless you, love you and stay well.

Biiiiig hug.
