I saw the Katie Couric show a few days ago and Clive Davis was on promoting his new memoir. I took great offense to his saying Janis Joplin had come on to him but he turned her down. He was honored however. Of course she is dead and can't refute what he has said.
I believe there are some mentions of his interaction with Meat and Jim, brief ones. I don't think he mentions
that he told Jim he did not know how to write a song .
I also saw that Kelly Clarkson has took great offense to his book as she feels he did not state the facts.
I personally kind of find Clive Davis sort of smarmy .
He also used her show to "come out" as a bisexual . I doubt anyone cares really.
I am including a link to the book. There are many links on the net about this book and the reaction it is getting. I am unsure about links on the forum so this is not a link promoting his book. I hate myself but will probably buy it.
