It gets very complicated but for one, the rates that insurance companies are charging for private policy does not meet up with the salary people make. Also it's a forced plan where people will be taxed/penalized if people don't have insurance. But it's a large plan that has a lot of problems overall and no plan B and no fixes to those problems. Summed up.
