There is one big difference to this promo to some recent ones - particularly Bat 3 which had a much bigger promo than HCTB or HIAH. Meat WANTS to promote this album.

This is his and Jim's final defiant statement of everything they have always been - outcasts, off the track, purposely out of time with current musical trends and not about to be put in a box by some record label boss who "knows" what makes good music and good sales.

This is not just an album, not just even the final album...to Meat, I feel, this is THE album, the ONLY album that matters...more than Bat 2 did, more that Bat did. He IS this album, he lives the songs of this album and he's been around long enough now to appreciate what all of that means and how important it is compared to when he recorded Bat as a much younger and more naïve man.

I've sang it's praises from the start because I get the massive theatrical event that this album is (which Meat kind of explained on the One Show when he said he wanted it to be one continuous symphony), and I do get a little bit emotional that the album is about to be a successful swansong, almost as emotional as listening to the last 2 minutes of GATW kick in and realising that this is the last time we are likely to hear ANYTHING that sounds like this again. Definitely bittersweet, but it looks like its going to be something special to go out on and I'm especially pleased that Meat waited for Jim to provide the full album rather than the original plan from a couple of years ago. It had to end with the two of them together again. Sometimes rock and roll dreams do come through.
