The parable of the pebble in the tin

And one tin was full of pebbles .. and however hard it was shaken, it made no sound. But another tin had in it but one pebble .. and every time it was shaken it rattled loudly and made an unmusical noise. So is it with thoughts .. be there but capacity for one or two they clatter about noisily, but the wise head makes sound only when it has thought and has something to impart, and clatters not at all .....
