The funniest story I heard about that movie was that some guy let the film makers borrow some period props (a vanity set and cigarette holder amongst other things).
The props were sent to America for the making of the movie.
When the guy tried to have the items brought back to the UK through customs they were confiscated by customs officials because they were made with banned substances (ivory and tortoise shell).
I believe the items are now in a museum and the guy is not a very happy bunny

That's what you get when you try and help people out

Also, the officer who shot a passanger near the end of the movie didn't actually shoot a passanger.His decendents were not too happy about the way he was portrayed and I have to agree with them
