Default Mercury Blues (Melbourne): De-"Fillered"

This performance of mercury was great, but it was chuck full of filler solos.

Great to watch on the DVD, but the thing is a bore to listen to.

I changed that:

YouTube Video

Enjoy

So you would have been bored at Glasgow's 15 minute version (30/1/2004)?

The instrumentals are the best part, especially Paul Crook's bit!

I'm sure Meat got into an argument with someone here who complained about the length of that very performance.

As for Wario's edit, I don't think it loses anything at all. it still sounds good to me.

I seen nothing wrong with the original. The guitar solo's were the best part of it.

No, he is just eager to find "flaws" in Meat Loaf recordings and can't resist to "fix" them by his superior audio editing skills.

It keeps him off the streets and the cats safe in the neighbourhood.

To be honest Wario, I don't think you've achieved anything by editing the song, quite the opposite in fact. What wasn't boring I feel now is just a bit humdrum.

You regularly change someone else's work and put the results on YouTube, so there has to be a certain eagerness to do so.

You have talents. Why don't you use them to create something that's really yours instead of just rehashing Meat Loaf's stuff?

How is that a bad thing? Do you intend to be known as a backpack fondling, cat molesting, purple dungarees wearer forever?

LOL, I CHSIB myself. I dig the guitar work that Metal Loaf does. But even Randy has some fine playing. Just another style. I heard the Alan Jackson recording the other day; and it isn't the same. But could just be he wasn't playing it live.

Also did anybody notice Mercury Blues as the hidden track, there's a solo that sounds like the United States' national anthem. I Wonder if that was Paul's doing?
