Default It Just Won't Quit

And here is Rory Dodd doing It Just Won't Quit. Again I love Meat's version over this but this is interesting.

I heard that a big bulk the songs on that channel came from a NY library.

It wouldn't surprise me if it was Jim. He's been known to release demos, such as the Batman demos.

It's great to hear and it's technically very good, but there's something that's not quite right. By no means am I saying that Meat Loaf is the only person capable of singing Steinman songs as I think Elaine Caswell's version is fantastic, but Rory Dodd is like a sausage sandwich without brown sauce. You can eat it, but it's missing something.

He's a great background vocalist. If he was ever going to be anything more he would be already. My opinion is that he can sing any song and do a good job but he never really seems to own the song.

Couldn't have said it better.
The version of Mr Dodd isn't bad but it only touches my heart deeply like the way Meat feels it and sings it right that way.

Does anyone know when Rory recorded this ? Presumably before Meat and Pandora's Box - early 80s ?

I know someone on here who has an audio recording of it, but won't let it go up on youtube for whatever reason and won't share it with anyone.

Its sad fans get to be deprived of hearing that, but it's their call.

I swear it's not me.
