Sickening and disgusting....

My daughter recieved this email yesterday and visited the website www.bonsaikitten .com - i discovered her and her brother distressed beyond belief!
I'm not sure if this is true or some very sick joke. The email goes on to detail a petition. Have any of you come across this?

i would sincerely hope this is a hoax but even if it is, it requires a special degree of depravity to spend that much time and effort on a hugely sick, twisted 'joke'. If it isn't doesn't bear thinking about.

Ok panic over this has been confirmed as a hoax (Thank you Caryl) and I have now been taught the benefits of a wonderful site www. snopes.com which is great for checking out fact and hoaxes.

Even so i still think it's a sick sick mind to come up with something like this and I cannot forgive the upset my children have been through

Even though this is a hoax it doesn't make it any less sickening when children and adults can receive these messages and believe them. I hope your children are feeling less distressed now they know it is a hoax.

What sort of person would send a message like this

It is such a shame that there is no way of stopping this type of message.

Thank you I was so intent last night to post that it was a hoax so as not to upset anyone else I never noticed your post.

Thanks for letting us know that it was a hoax. i cant believe the sick minds of some people. they shouldn't be thought of as human. i would have been increadibly upset if i had recieved this through email. it was upsetting enough reading it here.

The site is just a sick hoax.
Apparently it was created by a group of students at MIT:
