Default Anyone heard anything about a vinyl release?

Hi all.
Pretty self explanitory really .
Has anyone heard anything about CHSIB being released on vinyl in the UK?
I know there has been a vinyl release in Europe (with the red cover) so what happend to our release with the blue cover .
Everyehere i've asked about it says that it isn't available.
I have all Meat's albums on vinyl except CHSIB and it's really wicking me off .
Not to hark on too much, but Virgin did a great job with Bat II and WTTN.
We had vinyl,we had picture discs,it was a collectors dream .
The only thing i've never found of Meat's that was relesed by Virgin is the Very Best Of album.I can get away with that (just about)by telling myself that VBO was a compilation,so doesn't really class as an album in the strict sense of the word.
But not having CHISB is leaving a great big gap in my collection .
Sorry Meat,I know you don't want to talk about this right now,but if Bat III isn't available on vinyl to at least go with my other vinyl Bat albums,I will find myself doing some real damage to a record executive with an oversized aubergine

Don't know about a UK CHSIB vinyl release, but afaik there is no such thing as a TVBO LP.
Only LP version of CHSIB I know of is the German one (I'll have to import it someday soon to complete my collection)

I don't know about a UK CHSIB vinyl either... but I just got a German one through a ZShop listed on Amazon.com.de It's very hard to find on-line because I haven't seen it listed any place else.

I wonder if they'll release it on Vinyl here in the US this September?

I bought mine as a collector's item ... and won't even play it.
I have to admit it was really expensive to have it shipped from Germany to the US .. but it was one of those things I just had to have

I am building a collection fo framed ML picture discs and vinyl albums so am on the look out for any to do with CHSIB.

(Slightly off topic) but does anyone know how to frame vinyl without them slipping to the bottom of the frmae when hung up? I don't want to stick them and risk damage.)

Vinyl also offers a superb audio quality, better dan CD. There's no frequency cutoff of sampling involved, as a result, the sound is "richer". Please correct me if i'm wrong.

(slightly offtopic reply; powerglue... Hehehe, seriously; if you'd glue a pin; roughly 0.2 mm bigger then the hole in the middle of the LP, to the backboard; with a strong powerfull adhesive. You could then put the record on the pin. Since the pin is a bit bigger, the connection should be firm and steady)

Pardon the french, but, eh: Que?

What has the question "will CHSIB be released on vinyl / LP / those old black round things were music was released on before CDs" to do with a record label? I don't see a connection between the topic and this remark, so please do explain...

Well, that's clever... may I remind you that LP's went out of fashion when CD's became popular? It is not like every album will be released on CD, LP, MC, SACD, DVD-A and god knows what format. You try and find, lets say, Will Young's last album on LP. I'll give ya this from the start: you can't. The people who listen to that, aren't regularily interested in LP's. Be glad that CHSIB is released on LP in Germany by Polydor Universal. I don't see problems with that label. Maybe in the UK with Mercury it's different... but here, all seems fine.

And besides; I'll bet that Bat III will be released on LP too... since all other albums are, except for TVBOML.

I realise that vinyl is obsolete, but even so,not to have one album on vinyl when you have all the rest is a kick in the head
Where is the merchandise? Why can't we have at least a picture disc?
If a vinyl edition can be made with the red cover for Europe, would it really be too much trouble to have a limited edition in blue for the UK fans?

It seems only the germans have any respest for meat when it comes to record lables at the moment. The pushed his singles well and they charted pretty well at 18 and wherever couldn't have said it better came in...

Like I keep saying, I hope Meat only signed a 1 album deal with these companies because they don't deserve to have Bat III on their lables.

Since when are The Netherlands a part of Germany, if I may ask?

But the joking aside, Polydor seems to be doing a better job than Mercury, although I do think it could be better. From what I know of Sanctuary (Meat's new US label), it's quite a good label... so I have high hopes for the US.

Ah, sorry, I thought Polydor were a German lable for some reason. ...

The American on has some good bands signed up to them including Anthrax who meat's lead guitar also plays lead for them too... but they still don't even list meat on their site.

Yes .. I noticed they haven't listed Meat on their site yet .... I guess they're just waiting until it gets closer to the release date for the CD
You're right about the good bands ... and I thought that was really interesting about Anthrax :)

Default CHSIB On Vinyl in Germany

If anybody's still looking for CHSIB on vinyl, you can order it on-line using this link I found posted on another website :

http://www3.bol.de/pages/functions.p...&ProvID=0&md=5

Sorry I don't know German ... so I'm not sure how long it'll take, or how much it costs. Hope it helps :)

I really want BAT II on vinyl. What does it look like? Does it have an enlarged booklet with the lyrics and pictures? Oh my god, it's just a dream thinking about it - and I've never thought about it before. I know someone who can get me ML lps very easily, but I have to wait over 7 wees for them to come in.
