Default RIP: Paul the Octopus

He was the most exciting thing to happen to the Soccer World Cup for many a year.

Rip dude!

Ah well, at least he was probably one of the lucky few who knew when it was going to happen and could make sure he spent his last few hours doing exactly what he liked.

Pretty much the only thing that interested me about the last world cup or any of them for that matter, and a true one of a kind. You will be missed.

It's not right to make jokes about Paul the Octopus so soon. I mean, the ink hasn't even dried yet

Well at least Maradona is happy he's gone. A heading in "The Hindu" says he's jubilant.

A quote from Maradona: "I am happy your gone Psychic Octopus, it’s your fault we lost the World Cup".

People don't have the money to gamble anymore anyway. You can have an octopus telling you the correct, but you still need money to put on a bet. How many people actually believed this Octopus at the time anyway?

That's because an Octopus has 8 more legs to stand on.
