Default Celebrity Apprentice Episode #10 Hour 1

Oh boy this was three hours of non stop edge of your seat stuff here guys.

I mean right off the bat the switcheroo began. Trump asked NeNe and Star if they could iron out their differences for the sake of working on task. After the consensus was "no", Trump drafts Meat to team ASAP and NeNe goes over to Backbone. So new Backbone was NeNe, John Rich, Lil Jon, and Latoya. Meat, Marlee, and Star are ASAP now. The task was given to fundraise for a comedy show. The only credential was to draw as much money as possible and winner take all.

Project managers were Meat for ASAP and John Rich for Backbone. Meat gets things going with phone calls and has the full support of the ladies. The task wasn't easy, cause in the shadows is John Rich and his heavy wallet. This looms on Meat as he is highly emotional about the possibility of a losing it ALL scenario. It's at the forefront of his mind and sort of clouds him for the front part of the task. Understandably, because some of his ringers that promised the $$$ are thinking their money is going towards The Painted Turtle ....oddly their money could have gone towards Latoya's charity, which would have created an awkward situation. Meat is shown in the van emotional as all could be....it was beautifully heartwrenching. If people didn't love Meat yet, they sure would tonight.

The men, okay, they are getting money left and right, but John had already called in his heavy hitters for the art task. This left for slim pickings. NeNe had gone AWOL right after the task was set, no returned phone calls, no texts, no response at all. Trump had to call her himself. She's seen getting into a cab and she quit. Flat out quit because she said Trump gave Star what she wanted. Latoya isn't bringing in any large $ to speak of for Backbone either. John Rich had sealed a comic Jimmy Fallon for a spot in their show. Later on, when Fallon comes, he's holding $10,000 for the task.

Meat has his hands full of mostly his own head trying to clear the emotions out of the way, and Star and Marlee get Meat through the battle. Trump was called and there is some talk of possibly getting the money to stay with the losing team just as a safety net. Trump provides Meat with little relief. He's got to bust through this and he does. I know everyone has chips stacked against them in life, and even if this is for charity, Meat busted his ass to clear up the fear.

Meat pulled together and picked his comedians. Star utilized Tracey Morgan but not to the best she could have (IMO). Marlee had a spot on their programme. It seemed like it went well. I wish I would have heard more of the jokes because some of them were really funny. Edits and time constraints I bet contributed to that. Besides, it was based on $ only not whether they could chose the more funny comedians.

Boardroom. Donald goes on with firing NeNe for formalities I suppose. That's the first victim of the night. Much discussion about the phone call that Donald received. Trump asks Meat if he's alright. Meat gets emotional again....trying to compose himself so he can get out why the charity is so dear to him. Again, that is a hallmark moment and I reach for the tissue.

John Rich states to Meat that if Meat were to lose, he would match Meat's monies earned for his charity. They are really great friends. Do I even have to tell you that Meat is overwhelmed by the generosity. Meat states being on the Apprentice and meeting John Rich and Marlee makes him want to be a better person. I LOVE THAT!

Team ASAP's numbers are read...somewhere $102,000 or so. Team Backbone's numbers are read...$82,000 ish. And ASAP wins, Meat wins. Winner take all. Meat is so thankful.

Firing squad. There wasn't much fight here, Trump took the reigns and ended up firing LaToya for the second time.

Hour 1 done.

Thanks for the great review Suzie, sounds like an emotion packed episode. I'm confused, why wasn't Meat playing for The Painted Turtle for this task? Glad Nene's gone but she is gutless to quit like that. Glad Meat won in the end.

He was playing for them Carole.

Thanks for the review Suzie I truly admire John for his generosity tonight .. imo his heart is as big as Meat's, and I can understand now why Meat said he loved John as much as he does.

I loved Meat's words in the boardroom, and his win was extremely touching. And then seeing him call his wife to share the big news was just so sweet I wanted to give him a big hug !

He was playing for the Painted Turtle. He won it all for them. $190,000. He called Deborah right after they left the boardroom to tell her the awesome news.

I loved watching Donald fire NeNe ... she was a loser for walking away from her charity, and she deserved everything he said about her

I loved seeing Dave Luther and Bennett Miller, from Dave's other band, the Dirty Urchins. They were the two guys over on the right on stage during the comedy show. Great job by Meat, winning for the Painted Turtle

I was so so proud of Meat during the first task. I had a tear in my eye when he broke down, but the fact he didn't walk away shows what a fighter he is. I was so so touched by his emotion, and I think alot of people will have seen what a lovely person he is.

OMG Meat, you did it to me AGAIN! You sure are taking me on one hell of an emotional rollercoaster ride with this show! I managed to hold it together this time, because my other half was watching with me. If he hadn't been in the room, I know I would have been reaching for the tissues again! When Trump kept saying what a great guy you are, I turned to my other half and said, "See, told ya!" I was getting a little edgy when you were in the boardroom after the second task, although I just knew that you weren't gonna be fired. I was so pleased that Star finally got hers, and so proud of the way you held your own against her. I can't tell you how much I hope you win this thing!

Thanks Suzie and Vicki, now that I've watched it all it makes sense. I had only seen the previews and was confused why Meat thought he was gambling the money for Painted Turtle, but now I understand. Meat moved me to tears more than once in this episode. I would have been curious to see how Nene worked with the men's team, but she shot through so we'll never know. It's interesting how Latoya really enjoyed the experience working with the mens team after all the bitchiness and backstabbing of the women's team, she seemed to find it a welcome change and really came into her own. What a difference being respected made. A huge contrast to when she was Project Manager wth the women, being undermined at every turn. Both teams did well, but of course I was rooting for Meat's team and was so proud of him when they won. I thought that was a beautiful gesture of John to match what he had raised if his team lost. Trump doesn't seem to be used to dealing with people who have a heart, even the ice queen seemed to be moved. So proud of you Meat, you did well and showed just what a warm heart you have. You care so deeply for you charity and seeing your relief when you had won just warmed my heart.
