Default Meat Loaf & Jennifer Hudson.

This is pretty cool. Never seen it before. Does anyone know if it was part of the In Search of Paradise shoot or the EPK for Bat III? Either way, Meat is having fun, they're getting the stuff down, they both sound great. Would be cool to see stuff like this in the run up to Hell In A Handbasket

It was part of the 'Making Of Bat 3' behind the scenes guff that came with the Bat 3 special edition.

I vaguelly remember it now, yeah man. Still, interesting to look back after half a decade has elapsed.

Just another in the seemingly endless stream of boneheaded moves involving Meat's albums. This song should have been released as a single to take full advantage of the Oscar buzz that Jennifer Hudson had surrounding her at the time.

Agreed, it's a killer track. Though the single idea would mean losing about three quarters of it for the slightest hope of getting any air play. That said ... AFL.

No, it wasn't. Jennifer Hudson does not appear on that.

Maybe one fine day someone can answer the question I've asked before: Why was Jennifer Hudson's participation not used for promo? Everybody else was mentioned...

thanks, I love it! :) I've never seen it before either. No scene from it appears on the EPK, although it was shot in the same studio.

Technically, Patti wasn't mentioned either. I've always liked Jennifer Hudson's voice, but I thought her vocals were dreadful on The Future.

Patti wasn't mentioned because she has no worldwide star appeal unlike those previously mentioned.

Agreed. I love Future and it was one of the songs I'd always hoped Meat would do, but I really don't like the Bat III version. Love Meat on it, stunning vocal from him, but I'm reaching for the Skip Track button as soon as Jennifer Hudson comes in...she has a great voice but it wasn't appropriate for this song at all, I found it way too shouty

True. It was just the wrong choice for a single. And the plan to promote Marion didn't help her career anyway.

That's how I felt too. It sounds like Jennifer is shouting the lyrics. No emotion whatsoever. Which is surprising because she's a really talented singer, just not the right fit for this song.

Oh I dunno, she's a judge on X Factor over there now which has gotta be a good thing (though how much of that is down to the work with Meat I don't know)
