Default Where has Meat gone?

Does anyone know why Meat hasn't been on here since November? I miss him!

I imagine he's probably been busy working on the final touches for the album release next month and the DVD too. Hopefully he's managed to spend some time with his friends and family too.

I'd imagine the guy's having a break! He's toured, done promo, filmed a DVD, damaged his ankle....I'd have thought he'd be at home with his family, having a life.

It wasn't that long ago people were telling him to get back from Oz and take a good rest! .. He's squeezed in at least one film appearance despite his ankle injury after he got back from Germany, and the day before Christmas Eve on his FB page wished everyone Happy Holiday season and a great new year with lots to come in 2012, including more Q&A videos. Hardly MIA

I'm quite sure Meat's just at home being normal (or as normal as is normal for him!) - do you guys log onto the forum every day? I know I don't, I love MLUKFC but real life prevails!

You mean he actually has a life

Between filming a movie, working on the live DVD / CD, and changes for the USA / UK version of HIAHB, Meat's extremely busy right now

And like Lucy and others have said, hopefully he's also taken time off to spend the holidays with his family. Maybe he actually went on vacation

Give the poor man a break. I'm sure he'll be back on again soon once he starts promoting and touring for HIAHB.

I know when I wa son leave from my job over the Christmas period the last thing I wanted to do was log on and check my work emails ... coming to this forum is similar to that for Meat in many ways. Give the guy a break, he's having one!

Didn't mean to anger anyone - was just concerned because he hasn't been around and hoping he is ok.

I don't think people should read too far into it.....He has a lot on the go all the time, maybe he just hasn't been on the computer much ?

Meat's world is a bit bigger than logging into the UK forum as others have said. That he doesn't post here for a few weeks when he's not touring and it's the holiday season is hardly surprising, and to draw inferences (because someone just had to post he was put out by some post or other) that there's anything more to a short absence than that he has a life, and a busy one, seems daft

I haven't posted in ages either and it's because of preparing for exams at school, I'm sure it's the same with Meat except he will be preparing the album and live DVD and hopefully having a good amount of rest. It's about priorities and Meat has bigger priorities right now.

Guessing, in between gigs, he likes to disappear for awhile.

Meat has every right to take a break from things, as do all of us. His reasons are not really any of our business unless he chooses to share it with us and if he had any cause for complaint I'm sure he'd take it up with the moderators who would deal with it appropriately.

I don't know anything about the thread we're all talking about because I didn't see it but I don't think it was lame to remove it because someone got upset. If there was a thread about any one of us that criticised us and we found it upsetting, we'd want something done about it too. Meat is only human. There's no such thing as being too good to stop having feelings and insecurities.

Wink

I lost my original post with multi-quotes so I've just jotted down some brief thoughts.

I've heard Meat say that tree comment in several interviews. I took it to mean that he would give the same phenomenal performance whether it be in front of a stadium filled crowd or 3 trees (hyperbole), he's going to give his all, no matter what. And he does.

He has said on many occasions that he likes to disappear for awhile to re-charge. I don't see anything wrong with that. Do we miss him, yes of course, but this forum is for him. He should want to come here Thanksgiving (which is on different dates, so maybe he wasn't in America that day). And if he was, so what? He should be able to come here whenever his mood strikes. And be welcomed. We should not feel intimidated by Fireball but re-energized and be supportive to whatever his next quest is.

Oh, I just noticed the Christmas thingies are gone!
