Angry What does it take to pass a driving test???????!!!!!!!!

I've just got back from my third driving test, third time I've failed I know it's not a huge crisis, but it is getting rather annoying. I thought it went well today, and one of the two things I got failed on, one of my friends did exactly the same and still passed!!!!!!! True, it's all down to the individual examiner, and Sunderland test centre has a reputation for being the hardest to pass on; but is there something I'm missing? A secret handshake or wink, perhaps?

Sorry to hear that you failed. You just gotta stick to it and keep putting in for your test until you do pass. Those examiners are like from another planet-the planet of steel!!! Theyre sure made of the stuff!
I fortunatly passed my test in Febuary (valentines day!) and a good number of lessons was spent practising around the 'testing' area but when it came to my test, the examiner took me to the other end of town!!!! I couldn't believe it, I'd only driven around it a handful of times!!!! Even my instructor was a bit baffled but can't complain too much cos he passed me!

Hang in there, just keep at it and you'll do it.....and its probably stupid little mistakes that you make that you'd never normally make whilst on your lesson.
Its just about typical! (On my test I couldn't even get the gear stick into reverse!!!!)

YOU CAN DO IT!!! Have faith and you will succeed......Good Luck for the future..........

what it needs? breasts, short skirt and a tiny top hahahha.

Just kidding. Be yourself, act normally and pay attention. Show the instructor that you are driving him, as your gast, to the points he wants you to go. He is your guest, it is your car... remember that.... And good luck!

I failed my first test for avoiding an accident. I had to perform an emergency stop to avoid a taxi driver, and simply because I didn't look in my rear view mirror at the point of braking, the examiner failed me for it.

I suggest using a different driving instructor, if they haven't picked up on the mistakes you're making, then they're not doing their job properly.

That's what my law teacher recommended once!!!

Thanks for all your support, guys It just gets annoying when you realise the whole testing thing is basically a government "conspiracy" (for want of a better word) to get more money the more times you fail both theory and practice Theory was no problem! Got that with flying colours, even with the computer ******ing up on a very significant hazard perception with lots of hazards in it!

Practice practice practice ... sorry to hear it's taken you a few attempts, but don't give up, you'll get there eventually. It' took me 3 attempts 20 yrs ao to pass my test and now I'm facing the nerve wracking time of building up for my full bike license - so that means more tests!
