The programme on last night was unlikely couples or something. One of them was the lady who runs that / or works for them? And she married her cat

The other unlikely couples included a man who was a woman and a woman who was a man. Also a very young girl and an old man qith a 48 yr age difference.

Takes all sorts to make the world go around I guess

Lets not forget that at one time homosexuals marrying each other was unthinkable and not many people see anything wrong with that at all. I personally don't.

So you never know, marrying your pet could become normal thing to do in society in say a hundred years time.

Unfortunately there's some sad whacko's out there who would disagree with you.

I've witnessed some woman in a supermarket with a cat in her bag talking to it, asking the cat questions about what groceries they should buy

Hey I do that, I ask them what they want for dinner by putting the cans down (not that they can answer me), but there is a line and marrying your pet is wrong. At least for homosexuals they are two of the same species.

So is a human and a cat, aren't they both mammals?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not condoning the action of someone marrying an animal. I'm just pointing out that at one time it was completely unnacceptable to even think two homosexuals could marry. And before then interracial relationships were frowned upon.
