Default Hmmm....

That show showed that he still can do it, but I didnt like the whole thing. His performance wasnt bad at all, but a song like paradise isnt working in such a short edit. The song tells a story that has to develop itself, but it cant as all the single parts are too short. So the last part (praying for the end of time) didnt really make sense.
The same with AFL and BAAB.
He did his best to perform, but IMO he has to get into the mood of the song, but he didnt. Otherwise it´s just the vocalisation of some notes with words.

If I wouldnt be a fan and I would have seen it on TV, I would wonder what the hell would be going on there...

Thanks for the download. I thought he did a great job on BAAB. I was also surprised to see so many people singing along to the song.
I really think this song could be really big for Meat.

Thanks Vickip
I loved the performance of paradise but wasn't crazy about the arrangment (felt a little rushed) (the saxaphone makes a world of difference to that song )
Absolutely loved AFL, didn't like the way it started but once he got going i was really into it!!
BAAB i was a little dissapointed to start with but i really love the arrangement.

I guess in regards to the arrangements he can only work with the time limit allowed.
So what i'm trying to say is i think he made the most of the opportunity!!

It was a great performance. I didn't mind about the shortening of the songs especially after the controversy at PITP in 2003. Meat Loaf sang brilliantly, the best I've heard him out of all the promo performances, at times he sounded exactly the way he did in 1993/4 and exactly like the album.

Meat was awesome, really great performances especially on BAAB but why oh why do they invite Meat then tell him to cut the songs so short....guess that spoilt it for me.

Roll on May...................
