Kasim on why it was time to leave....
"When a band starts promoting a record on QVC it's time for me to go (laughs)." Personally in that case I wish Meat had played on QVC years ago! Let's hope the replacement is a bit more exciteable!

Think Kasim has done a great job and has been Meat's right hand man, so I personally would guess it was a very hard split for both of them. If the quote is Kasim's view then fair enough. All the best to Kasim for the future, and all the best to Meat finding a replacement.

I've always been a pretty big Kasim fan, but I thought that in parts of that interview he was being quite disrespectful.
Also, how uninterested did that interviewer sound?!! |

I totally agree with you on that Lee B. It was like neither one of them really wanted to be there.

As much as i liked seeing the bloke during the tours, that remark is a tad cheeky.

Wow - so Kas is suggesting that Meat's career is pretty much over just cos he's appearing on QVC. Classy. I thought they were supposed to be friends

I don't believe for a minute it was anything to do with QVC .. the timing of the decision doesn't support it. Personally if it was meant to be humorous, I think it was in poor taste, and back-pedalling somewhat afterwards didn't dissipate the sour taste it left.

He did sound pissed off.
I like Kasim. He always comes across in interviews as very thoughtful and honest, and I've got more time for his thoughts than probably anyone else in the NLE including Meat. I thought the QVC comment was meant as a bit of a joke, but obviously there's a lot more to it that he's not saying. Dave |

To me he didn't exactly sound pissed off......it was more like he was thinking hard how to phrase what he thought without harming anyone........if you listen to the clip you can hear him stutter and look for words before he actually said what he said. I could literally hear those words sticking at his tongue a while before he finally spit them out
So I would go with that: Quote:

At the end of the day none of us will ever know the truth as to why Kasim is no longer part of the NLE. And to continue to fuel the speculation by dragging up comments made by either of them in the past really won't do any good will it?
