Met quite a lot German (so called) stars
A very well known German singer lives near to me, Sarah Connor is her name.
She´s married to the lead singer of the band "Natural" (if anyone has ever heard of them lol) I met both about 5 to 7 times now.
Also met The Kelly Family very often (AJ, behave yourself )
Met the very well known German bands "Fettes Brot" and "Die Ärzte".
Also met another German singer called "Sasha".
Met two German comedians (Johann König and Mario Barth)
A very very well known German TV show presenter and actor, Thomas Gottschalk.
And met my favourite German singer Laith Al-Deen about 4 times now (the last time was exactly a month ago, and I´m still thrilled )

Ok, come to the people you might know lol
Jennifer Rush... long time ago.
Wladimir Klitschko (he lives just a few houses away from where used to live in Hamburg)
John Travolta (very recently)
In 2005 whilst being in London for holidays I´ve met Robert Lindsay, Bill Nighy, Martin Freeman and Alan Rickman (*sighs* my Mr. Perfect) There was the premiere of "The hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy" at the Empire cinema.

He was very nice.

Robert Powell was the worst celebrity I've had the misfortune to meet, he was very rude and just did not seem to care.

Mr Loaf and the NLE
Alan Carr
Mel C (I know and did some work for her brother)
Brian Robson (when he was Boro manager, I detest football but I loved him!)
Tana Umaga (All Blakcs captain, excuse the spelling)
Rob Andrew and the Newcastle Falcons squad (not sure if that counts )
Jet and Hunter from Gladiators - yeah baby!

Don't know if this counts either but Brian Connely told me off for laughing and told spoke to a theatre of people about my Mum's boobs!

Meat Loaf !!!!!

Then in no particular order an assortment of people I saw whilst working in a shop in Brum: -
Liam or Noel Gallagher- you can tell I’m not a fan!
Cliff Richard – had middle-aged women queuing around the block!
Fenella Fielding- Carry On films
Eric Richard- Sergeant Cryer The Bill
Matt Lucas- Before Little Britain – he wasn’t very pleasant!
Beverley Callard- promoting her exercise video & no one turned up!
Roger Cook – journalist / TV Cook Report – a bit scary

My husband’s claim to fame are:-

Cliff Richard – he shared a lift with him
Chris Tarrant
David Soul

I’m sure there are more but I can’t remember them at the moment, as you can tell they’re not exactly Hollywood standard!

Being a massive liverpool fan I've met a few ex and current players

In no order

Kenny Dalglish
John Aldridge
Sammy Lee, Current Manager of Bolton (really nice guy)
Rob Jones
Neil Ruddock (drunk as a skunk and racist as well)
Bruce Grobbelar
Alan Hansen
Tommy Smith
Ron Yeats
Ian Callaghan
Ian Rush
Steve McManaman
Roy Evans
Gerard Houllier
Rafa Benitez
Probably leaving some people out

Met a load of other footballers as well.

Curtis Stigers while on an acoustic solo tour about 7 years ago
Gerry Adams came into the ladbrokes shop where I was managing canvassing in the Irish general election before last. Suffice to say he wasn't in there long when the loveable drunk, who didn't cause any trouble but talked a lot, looked at him and said 'I know you from somewhere'

My Dad was sat on a plane next to Posh Spice and said she was really nice. This would've been about 6 years ago

I've met loads and loads - very difficult to remember them all!

Bernard Manning, Bonnie Tyler, Tony Robinson, Chris Evans, David Gray, James Morrison, Alex Zane, most of Spandau Ballet, Harry Hill, Brian Conley, Liz McClarnon (ex-Atomic Kitten) Stuart Cable (ex-Stereophonics) Darius (?!) Matt Dawson, and many many more, including most of the Welsh rugby team, and every professional snooker player Wales has produced since Ray Reardon and Doug Mountjoy.

And my best friend from school is an Ashes-winning fast-bowler for England and Glamorgan

I know I will forget someone, but:

Outside of Meat and Todd, etc., (NY Listening Party):

The celebrities I've met have come from my current job at a Jewish non-profit in Manhattan, or during my opera/classical muisic days, with a couple of miscellaneous:

Met via work:
Former Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu - mega-charmer with the ladies; can work a room as well as Clinton does; one of the best speakers I've ever heard.
Former CIA Chief W. James Woolsey - very nice fellow and wanted to speak to everyone he met. He filmed his speech for the organization in our Exec's office, and we had a mini-reception for him afterwards.
US Congress Representatives Anthony Weiner - NY, and Jim Saxton - NJ - two gung-ho hard workers in Congress; Saxton one of the nicest guys you'll meet.
Best of all - frequent contact with Ed Ames - the lead singer for the 50's group The Ames Brothers, and played the Indian in the 50's-60's US TV series Daniel Boone. Very tall (6'4), distinguished fellow who's real nice, voice still great at age late 70's; very passionate about his interests.

Met at the Metropolitan Opera, NY:
Marilyn Horne - grand gal; very down to earth; full of humor
Luciano Pavarotti - very friendly, like a puppy, and a wicked, constant flirt!
Placido Domingo - met a long time ago - very nice, a bit shy then
Tony Randall - actor/opera fanatic - friendly; knew everyone it seemed.

Met at Tanglewood summer concert theatre of the Boston Symphony Orchestra - Leonard Bernstein - long time ago; intense, sensitive to all around him; constantly talking to anyone/someone.

Met in Boston at Boston Opera theatre, then at the Metropolitan Opera and Philadelphia Lyric at the Academy of Music:
Dame Joan Sutherland - Great lady; has wonderful humor with the Australian touch; would always admit regular fans: showed she felt comfortable with repeated visits from fans she knew.
At this Boston Opera theatre, saw Jacqueline Kennedy go by on her way to the dressing rooms - was close enough to touch - very beautiful, very slight polite smile as she was escorted past us.

Met at lecture in Manhattan:
The late Bishop Paul Moore - leader of the Episcopal Church of NY - fantastic speaker; fabulous person to meet. Interested in everyone. Bishop Moore was very well known here in NY and in the Episcopal church.

Met in Off-Broadway theatre:
William Atherton - was Walter Peck in Ghostbusters. Played a scumbag in the play I saw him perform - but real nice to talk to.

I meet the band Dope. I meet them a while back if you ever seen a picture of them you might think they're all evil and mean but they were the nicest guys. They joked around and talked wish my camera didn't mess up and I had a marker to get they're autographs. I only wished Mushroomhead would have not went back to there bus and would have hung out with all of us at the club that night.

That's Dope

My mate Lynda (who came to Wembley)'s claim to fame is that she's friends with Melvin Hayes (from It Ain't Half Hot Mum) who lives in the next village, and whilst waving to him across our local Waitrose car park, she nearly ran over Cliff Richard, (he's also friends with Melvin and had come to visit) who apparently had stepped off the pavement directly into her car, and she says he had very bad language for a man of God!!!

Ok, I really can´t stand John´s music, but I quite like Joey´s and Angelo´s (man, he can rock!!!)

They did "Wetten dass..?" in Bremerhaven a few years ago. The Saalwette (you can see how long ago it was, because it was a Saalwette back then, no Stadtwette like they´re doing now) was something about employees of the company my dad works for so we drove to our Stadthalle and we, amongst about 50 others, were asked to go on stage to do the Saalwette.
