it was hardly a special! two songs only!

but meat rocked the set.

the edited-down totp version of CHSIB wasn't good, but this longer version was amazing! rock on!

Saw the TOTP2 broadcast this evening. Deadringer was absolutly great. Great performance of Metal Loaf also, he really knows how to rock!

But what happened with Meat during CHSIB? Was it a tape playing with live singing? In my opinion the song was a little bit to slow, was it due to that Meat lost a bit text or better didn't sync. ?

I hope not to be too critical ....

This was a great performance - back to the rocking best!
Meats voice sounded great and Paul Crooks guitar added a more excitting sound to Deadringer.
I prefer to hear the more heavier performances rather than the acoustic stuff that has been done on radio sessions as of late.
I know that the radio sessions were promo for the album but the heavy raw sound is what Meat and the band do best.

Top performance fireball!

ps - loved John Golden's Les Paul

His voice wasn't that great. Dead Ringer sounded great, but CHSIB was kinda terrible. he has to get used to do the song live and he never sounds that great during tv-shows. But the act was superb and only the way Meat can do. They knocked eachother heads in the end, did you see it.? it was perfect timing.

It was just great. But i don't agree that he did CHSIB that much. It was the sound effect that was not good. They didn't make a good mix with the music and the singer

Yes that is what i mean, he did it much better before and with that passion he did on totp2 it must be the sound that is not good. How can he preform such a song in that room, it have to have the space and there it is just small

Sounded great anyway. Owk, so the Heieneken Music Hall was better, but you just can't expect the same sound in a "small" room.
I think open air is the best for any concert, especially a show like Meat's.

I'm gonna play the video real loud tommorow, let's see how that sounds .

Thx for the welcome btw dotster.
