That would have been more interesting. What were you going to ask?

What are your thoughts on your records you've released without jims involvement. blind before i stop is a very underrated album. Your thoughts?

another question was:

What are your thoughts about your mowtown past? Stoney and meatloaf is a wonderful record that nobody knows about.

To make it more personal you could also have asked him
"What advice would you give to a performer starting out?"

Can you not understand though how he'd rather focus on new material than old on a promo tour for a new record?

I don't doubt there will be official retrospective releases in the future which may be a more appropriate time for these questions to be answered?

He's said during the UK promo leg that he'll be doing "100 stories" as a book. Wouldn't be surprised if he opened his archive of recordings at the same time.

There's plenty of time for such questions at a more relevant time.

Hey at least no one asked what "That" is after he just explained it 5 minutes before. Seriously wouldn't have surprised me!

Also this was probably the best explanation of That actually.

Tyce posted a lovely photo with Meat, accompanied with this message:

Thanks Meat Loaf for today. Your words of encouragement mean everything to me. He said I was "great" and reminded me to keep building characters onstage in every song. I'm honored. Steinman's music is a bond that we share and I'm grateful to be the next interpreter of Jim's music <3

Guess he has Meat's blessing?
"...the next interpreter of Jim's music" ? Just as Braver drops.
Incredibly cocky guy!

Perhaps you should have left that on Facebook!

Maybe there could have been a slightly longer gap between the albums coming out, but - and I have made no secret of how much I love Braver and Meat - I don't have a problem with Tyce calling himself the next interpreter of Jim's work. I've heard the samples and am really looking forward to that album too.

In the end, we know that Braver is Meat's last album, and Hero is the first album of all Jim songs by another artist since...?...Bonnie? Discounting the likes of Whistle Down The Wind/Tanz cast and concept albums. So he is bringing new blood to Steinman's songs, following the departure of the master. The next interpreter following Pandora's Box, Bonnie, The Dream Engine (who I would have really liked to have heard an album from), who could all have been called the same thing. He's just saying he's next...not the best or better than anyone else. So I see this as all good for fans of Steinman and those of Meat who didn't like the production of the Dead Ringer album (I'm thinking I'll Kill you If You Don't Come Back over Gonna Love Her For Both of Us). Will see how it all pans out next month.

It's a cute guess, but you're wrong. Not nearly enough Z's, asterisks, or pointless caps.
