No, LostSoul, I really don't see anything 'demanding' about that!

There's also the original Hits Out Of Hell vid with the Dead Ringer vid, and the Classic Albums Bat Out Of Hell documentery.
I know Bad Attitude, Bat II, HOOH, are out of print. I don't know if Classic Albums is still available. Meat Loaf live can still be found in shops. |

I think its insane that they havent released a REAL Meat Loaf show on DVD, after all these monster tours throughout the years. Im sure most people who saw Meat would want some sort of keep sake. They just HAVE to release a live DVD from the CHSIB tour! - if not we must take to the streets and protest! Lol! Would prefer them release a UK arena show or the proposed show with the orchestra in Australia.
Wish i could see this Mexico show now to hear and see what you guys are talking about! I wouldnt blame Meat if he wanted support from a backing track every now and then (you hear the CD version of CHSIB kick in for only a few words on the bonus disk recording thats comes with the Australian version of the album)... actually thought it was quite a neat effect - Meat singing to his own backing vocal for a few seconds! Of course, Meat, you could always do the sensible thing and slow down, do fewer shows, play bigger venues (let us come to you), stop letting yourself become the victim of crazy tour schedules (UK 2003/2004 zig zagging the British Isles instead of playing the same venue for a few nights in a row like any other performer would - and save yourself the trauma of travelling...) some would say quality not quantity? - least you'd be taking better care of YOUR health. Take care, Ewan |

Hi, I am a lucky girl! for my birthday and christmas this week I got 2 meat loaf dvd's one of which was the Storytellers. I can't help but observe (with apologies to our american users) that it may have worked better with a UK audience. Perhaps I am a little biased but the members of the audience seemed a little reserved, whereas UK fans may have let themselves go a bit more. All the same it is good and Meat is wonderful and relaxed in it. Happy New Year to you all.

I would have to highly agree with Chris on this matter. It is definatley NOT live when I hear Meat's voice, but don't see lips move. I highly doubt Meat was using "tracks" while performing on stage (only Fire Ball would know the real answer to this), but the Mexico show was highly "fixed" - ain't no doubt about it! What I witness when I popped in the video did not decieve me, I heard Meat Loaf singing when there were close-ups on him and his lips were not moving. ROCK ON STUDIO FIXES!!! |

After it was pointed out to me, I listened again with my ear-phones on...and yes. You are right, I was wrong!
I think it must have been added later. xxx Mariella |

When i listen to some recordings from the shows in Germany, i hear the second verse of CHSIB ( i believe it was in frankfurt, not sure) and i immediately got the feeling that it was not live. Same story with the seccond or third verse in Testify.
But Meat still got all the 4 octaves. Paradise live in Oberhausen: After deep dark nite he sings loud the way he does it many times. Paradiiiiise and then louder by the daaaash and then louder booaaaaard and then octave higher and very very loud: liiiight. O djeeeez very very good. About the Mexican concert: i think its a shame. it is ridicilous. Why he overdubt some parts? Jesus, it makes me angry. A true born artist, a beast on stage is overdubbing a live concert. It is ri-di-ci-lous!! |
