The way I read the lyrics,is that it used to be very clean cut people (a bit like Brad and Janet in Rocky Horror) getting married and settling down as responsible members of the community.But they still managed to wreck things(so did Brad and Janet).Maybe because they were so uptight.
This song says i'm not gonna play that way.We're not Mr and Mrs perfect(beutiful miss America or Mr right),but without your hangups we can make the world better("Won't Be Makin' The Mistakes Our Fathers Made").

This is exactly how i understand the lyrics.Not lyrically a great song but i think typical of early nonJS Meat songs. My first Meat album was rock n roll hero from a car boot sale when i was a kid and this was on there, not Meat's greatest but most definately nowhere near the worst, some of the greatest rock songs didn't have deep and meaningful lyrics.
my score 9/10

Why was it banned?

Because in the background of one of the shots a Magaret Thatcher lookalie was seen sitting on top of a rubbish heap.

The video was broadcasted a lot on Super Channel and the Music Box.

The lyrics of this song are fantastic. I like all Sarah Durkee's lyrics. "where the rubber meets the road".

The Violins are great at the start of it's extended version, but ever since I got the extended version, the studio version never got to me, but still great.

Extended version = 9.9/10
Original Cut Studio Version = 9.5/10
Live at Wembley = 10/10
Bad Attitude - Live = 9.8/10
Remix =- 5/10
