This is truley the ultimate love song of all time. What a comeback this album\song is. Its truely a song that will never end. The music is great and the words, and the vocals. Beautiful instrumental.
It is no doubt a 10\10. 2nd Album, I ever heard, and fell in love with it by just the first song. I hate it shortened. 12 minutes is a perfect length. I just feel that the female singer should have been Patti Russo! imo |

Such a great song!!! Great music, great vocals, great everything!! This is truly the ultimate loves song with powerful lyrics. I'm glad that Meat found someone like Patti to sing it with him on stage!! And I hate the little edits --it's perfect as it appears on album!!! Lorraine Crosby did a great job...and Patti is the ultimate diva!
This song gets a 12/10!! I love it!! |

I absolutely love this song- I have to give it a 10/10. I have to say that, though I do love the version on Bat2, my favorite is the one from Live Around the World- I guess I miss Patti's contribution when I listen to the Bat 2 version. I'm a bit embarrassed to say this....but the first time I heard it I thought "that" was some kind of perverse sexual practice (why do I hear Alexi Sayle from Young Ones as I type that phrase? :P ), but I enjoyed it much more when I finally figured out what "that" was. I love the look of exasperation on Meats face in the Storytellers DVD when he is trying to explain the song and realizes the chalkboard is written wrong!

The most beautiful, wonderful, mesmerising, majestic, outstanding, amazing song I have ever heard in my whole life. Have I missed any words out? I loved it from the start when I heard it when I was 6. It made me a fan. One wednesday night about 2 years ago, coming back from the cinema in the car with my Dad, the movie had really freaked me out for some reason. We had just pulled out of the car park when Dad put the radio on and this song (my fave of all time) came on. I was never so happy to hear that song in my entire life!!! Words cannot express just how much that song, Meat, and Jim mean to me.

This was the song that escaped Electric Light Orchestra's reunion album from 1990. There, it existed in infinite form - and was instrumental. Something happened to prevent them from making that album, so Jim recycled the melody for I'D DO ANYTHING FOR LOVE. Also, Bonnie Tyler fans will note the appearance of the title (spoken by JIM) in the third track on Tyler's Steinman-produced fifth album (Faster Than the Speed of Night). The song was my introduction to Meat Loaf, but I only ever had radio edits - before I discovered BAT 2. To this day, BAT 2 is the most phenomenal and inspirational album I've ever heard. I give the song, 10 / 10

Anyhing For Love is a inexpressible. I canīt describe the feeling beyond it. Wonderful. 10/10 |

Nothing to add, that's an amazing song, except that many people do not like the CHSIB - The Last World Tour intro and outro version... and I DO LOVE IT A LOT! Why? because you can't sing along! you just have to listen to Meat!!! and that is great! 10/10 ps: sorry for those who wrote that "I'D Do Anything For Love" was the ultimate love song... I'm still thinking that "For Crying Out Loud" IS THE ULTIMATE LOVE SONG! ps2: If I do hear it once live... I guess I can die peacefully! |

The only bad thing on the song is that it may be too often played and too well known, so that it became a song that everybody can sing and nobody really thinkīs about the song itself, the melody, the lyrics (->"what is that?")
OK, maybe a second bad point: The radio edits that are going round the stations. Some of the best lyrics are missing already in the original radio edit, but some stations just cut nearly everything away that itīs at the end just about 3 minutes. A shame! That just causes more people asking for that! 9,5 |

Has a greater 12 minute song ever been written?
I also hate the edits. The only one i'll put up with is the video. Perfect in every way. 10/10 |

I have to agrre with you there, the edits aren't good at all. However, the full version of the song is a masterpiece in every way!

The brit. awards version is the best and the album version has been overplayed:
This just got lucky cause it was: A: Off BOOHII B: It was his first single off it out C: overshadowed Object's singe and Dream's single. I truly hate this song, but I'm a kind kid. 6/10 - there are a lot better songs........ |
