There's no such thing as bad press. And it seems many agree with his opinions regardless. I look forward to some uk shows next year.

The TMZ article was completely wrong. He wasnt replying to trolls, he was insulting his fans who were having a perfectly innocent discussion about his very obvious use of a ghost track on the video. There is no justifying point blank lying about it and then telling people to go f*** themselves for talking about it.

Listen,

There are god knows how many artists that DO use ghost tracks and nobody bats (pardon the pun) an eyelid. IF Meat is using a ghost track then could that be because the Neverland Express hasn't been together since Last At Bat and there was little time to rehearse and put a show together? Could it be that because he's recording another Steinman album (and we all know how hard it is to sing his songs) that it's taken a bit of toll on his voice (not saying that's the case at all) and he needs a bit of help? Or is it that he is actually hitting these notes and it does just, coincidentally, sound like a ghost track is being played.

Thing is people dont say anything about the hundreds of artists that DO use ghost tracks but do pick on Meat. Is THAT because of the kinds of songs he sings that people feel to trash his name and his performances? It's all a load of crap! Let the man do his shows and entertain the masses that he DOES entertain!

Oh my....So i've been away from my computer for a while, then come back and see this! This actually infuriates me, watch this video, listen to the reaction of the fans, are they having a great time.....yes! Well then Meat is doing his job well. Why the hell does it matter if Meat is or isn't using a ghost track? Its not like he's even miming over the top of it, he's still singing!
Why do people then slate his performances to Meat himself and the rest of his fans....what do you expect when you say things like this? A pat on the back! Your opinion is your opinion and thats fine, no one can say you are right or wrong, but theres a time and a place on when to voice it and knowing when to stop.

Meat is working his arse off for us fans, when he see's things like this of course he is going to get upset and defensive, and maybe he did over react, can can we really blame him? I'm a musician and if I worked really hard to give a performance and someone just came along and attacked my work showing no real constructive criticism then I would probably over react too!

Rant over!

I never heard of the term ghost track before this tour. And just like overdubbing a live DVD or CD, I don't care. If it increases my pleasure to listen to an artist then it's a tool that does it's job.

But that term... Ghost track...

Can it be that Meat is unaware of it? That it attached itself to Meat when he was doing all the haunting programms? It surely sounds like somethng from those shows...

A ghost track is a guide vocal, just something to keep a vocalist in pitch or give the illusion of strength and depth to a vocal line or a choral melody. Sometimes, if there are a lot of vocals in a section of a song or a wall of sound style passage (think Queen), bands will use their own studio vocals as backing (basically like a backing track) to help pad the sound out.

Like I said, a lot of artists use them; it's nothing that unusual.

I'm not sure Volkswagen would currently agree with that.
