Hi, MB! I just wanted to thank you again for such a great thread. I went back through it and reread what everybody had to say. Very beautful. I hope that while Meat is getting bettr he will come here and read this.

Thank you again for all the clips and to all forum members who added poems and stories and words and love for Meat!

Fire Ball, I hope you are better soon. Rest and get well!

Hello. I have been lurking on this forum for a long time, but I had to come forward first to tell Meat how happy I am that he is going to be well again. And then I wanted to say how much I enjoyed this thread. It really helped me when I was feeling so low about Meat being sick.

All the poems and words of encouragement and the videos and so on helped to get me through this terrible time.

So I thank you for having it hear.

This is a nice forum.

Love
Pat

Hi, friends! Thank you guys for your kind words. I'm really glad this thread helped you. I have to admit that it helped me, too, get through the waiting period until we heard about Meat!!

Pat, welcome to the board. Nice to have you here with us!

I was just going through some of my files and I found a couple more which I didn't have the chance to post earlier.

And I thought, well, Meat is still recuperating and still needs our prayers and positive thoughts going his way that his recovery will be a complete one!!

So, I'm going to post one of them now. It's the middle of the night here in California and I'm in the mood for Meat (when am I NOT??!! )

Hope y'all enjoy this one.

REST AND FEEL BETTER SOON, MEAT!!

Love,
MB

MB I have only just been able to get on this thread, the last 3 days have been so hectic but all the poems etc from everyone are wonderful, I will be praying for your dog and hope everything is ok and i continue to pray for Meat's recovery. Dottie i loved the picture message, you have such a way of saying what others can't, withiout trying. When ever i feel down i put any Meat Loaf CD that i lay my hands on first and i feel so much better :)

I agree Cpl Mickey! I haven't been back here since the first day or so and just finished reading and watching everything. This is an amazing thread! Thank you MB. Your dogs are beautiful and I hope the surgery goes well.

Dear Meat,

Thank you for coming here and telling us what has been happening to you. I continue to send you my prayers every day for a full recovery. Take your time coming back. You have been through a lot.

Hi MB. Thanks for the welcome. This is a very busy forum. Always lots to read.

I was wondering something and I hope you don't mind my asking you this. You seem to have a lot of Meat Loaf videos to share with everyone.

I have been looking for one for a long time. It is the early music video of Razors Edge. Do you have that and will you show it some time? I remember seeing it somewhere. But that was a long time ago. I remember really liking it.

Was that okay to ask here?

Love
Pat

Hi, Pat! Thanks for coming back.

Razor's Edge, I believe, was on Hits out of Hell. I do have it, but not ready to share. Perhaps on the next 'event' whenever that will be, I'll be able to share a bit of it with you and everyone.

While I'm writing here, I received a letter from Sherrie today and she brought up something that had not occurred to me--perhaps, not to you guys either.

Did you realize that while this Webathon was going, Meat was getting ready and going through his medical procedure??!!! We were all doing this just when he needed the prayers and good wishes the MOST!!

I don't know why, but I hadn't made that connection. I think it's wonderful!! And once again, I thank each and every one of you who participated in this project. I think, maybe, we really did some good with it!!!

With Thanksgiving coming up tomorrow in the States, I just wanted to wish Meat and all the members in the band a very Happy Thanksgiving! I think, this year especially, whether you celebrate this holiday or not, we Meaty fans have a LOT to be thankful for!!!

Thanks again, friends.

Sending love to you all,
MB

I am sorry that I am so late posting to this thread.

MB: As always, you've got a heart that could crush a city Much love to you for your time and work to get this thread going...

Meat,
When I first heard you were ill-
I was very scared- so I can only imagine what your family, fiancee, and friends were going through.

You are the only artist that I have ever felt a personal significance about-
and I think that's because you deliver your gifts from your heart, and not
your pocketbook -like so many others do.

You've always acted as though you were priviledged to do the work that you do- on screen, on stage, on vinyl- but you've worked for every single good thing that has ever happened to you- you've been beaten back so many times, and yet you've always perserveered- you deserve every single good thing that has happened, and will happen for you- god knows you've had to work your ass off to get it, over and over again.

The songs that you have recorded over the years, doing the work that
you love, have meant a great deal to me. I'm just a short, little girl who lives in a cold place, and we'll probably never sit down to have a
coffee- or share stories with one another- but your music, your voice, your presence, your 'real-ness' and integrity have meant more to me, than you could ever possibly know.

The greatest choices I've made in my life, have been inspired in part by having followed your work. You are so humble, so gracious, and yet you've had to fight for everything- the talents you posess are incredible, but the spirit, integrity and strength you have is beyond rare-

Meat- please get better, and take all the time you need to do so.

Much love and respect,
Leah

Little Dancer, your words are so beautiful- it nearly brought me to tears, probably because they also reflect a lot of how I feel about Meat. Thanks for adding to the threat, it was good to read.

Hi, friends! Thanks for keeping this thread going. I think Meat needs all the positive reinforcement he can get right now!! And this certainly can't hurt! We're well over 2000 hits on this thread!! Wonderful!!

Leah--beautiful said, as always!! You really got to the heart of it here. Made me cry, too!! Thank you for adding it!

Welcome, Tink! Good to have you here!

Sherrie, Rosie, Dottie, thank you. Hey, Dottie, where did that second photo come from and do you know who the people are in it?? Hadn't seen that one before.

Asha, thank you!! I hope you were finally able to see and hear all the clips in the thread!!

Well, it's been a week of GREAT NEWS!! Why don't we celebrate it together, while we're waiting for the concerts to begin again.

Here is one more clip that I had left over from the actual Webathon.

Hope y'all enjoy it!

Love to everyone,
MB

Great clip, MB! My goodness.....the hair, the sweat, the cool Texas necklace..the forearms (why am I such a freak that the rolled up sleeves thrilled me so?)...AND it's from 1987, the best year of this century! Thanks for posting such a great clip- I don't know if Meat feels better for it, but it did it for me.
