Bradley Gratis is the closest "off the shelf" font I think you'll find.

Try looking here or here

Moons ago in the days before .net you could get the official font as a free download through http://www.meatloaf-oifc.com/ that site at the time being the official international fan club at. The website is still there but has been renamed the official international fan community. I have had a quick look and I cant see the link to the font anymore but im sure someone will know if its still available

Surprising as Meat has always insisted the true font is his copyright .. perhaps you're referring to a link that was to a "closest to" ? I seem to recall that a fan posted one of those on there .. but I can't see Vee, who ran the site, would have offered the genuine article given Meat's view.

The old OIFC site has been as it is today for some years now, since soon after Vee died, so I don't see it emerging in a newly developed state any time soon.

I can't see any differences on the font used on many albums and the old font Bradley credited to Joseph Warren Phinney (1848-1934).

http://www.1001fonts.com/font_details.html?font_id=2887

Description of the font:
(from http://www.1001fonts.com/font_details.html?font_id=2887)

Bradley is an 1895 typeface credited to Joseph Warren Phinney (1848-1934). It was based on lettering by Henry William Bradley (1869-1962) for a Christmas cover of Harper's Bazaar magazine. Bradley was the basis for logotypes such as Firestone and Ketel One, and has been used more recently by Disney on theme park signage.

This digitization is based on an incomplete specimen from Dover's "Gothic and Old English Alphabets : 100 Complete Fonts." I'm releasing it to the public domain. Anyone so inclined is welcome to improve and/or add on to what I've started.

My name and font is copyrighted and Trade marked. Please don't post these kind of things . It will only cost me money for my lawyer to fight infringement cases . You are making it to easy.

youre incorrect, what has been posted here is the Bradley Gratis font which is openly available to anyone. IF someone copied your 'logo' exactly, THEN it'd be your property.
If you look at the L for example, it looks different here.

And some people appear to be stirring shit when it doesn't need to be stirred.

There was a case in UK law recently where a fish and chip shop called Harolds was barred from having it's name displayed in a similar font and colour scheme that that used for the distinctive Harrods logo.

I'm sure this is the type of thing Meat is getting at. Someone using the phrase Meat Loaf in the Bradley Gratis font could well be breaching the same legalities.

End. of.

Edit(R.): In case you're wondering, the message above refers to some posts that have been deleted.
