No Eddie plans, says Meat Loaf
Found here
Meat Loaf has revealed he has no plans to reprise his role as Eddie in a much-rumoured sequel to The Rocky Horror Picture Show. The Bat Out Of Hell star, who has played the ex-delivery-boy-turned-zombie in the 1975 film, and later on Broadway, said: "No, Eddie's dead and gone." Meat Loaf - who's on the judging panel of Popstar To Operastar - reckons the highly anticipated sequel could be successful. "I think Richard O'Brien is really talented and if anybody can do it, Richard can," he said. "Hey, they made Jaws 4 didn't they? What's wrong with Rocky Horror 2?" |

I remember hearing about this last year sometime and back then the rumors were that Meat wasn't planning to play Eddie again.

Lol - yes, but it was ! Love Rocky Horror though, so a sequel could be done well, as long as the cheapy mock serious attitude is retained. |

I love RockyHorror and if Richard O'Brien is involved in a sequel it should be good
What ever happened to the remake of the original that was happening a couple of years ago without the permission of O'Brien but who could not stop it because permission was given by the film studio? Hopefully that is dead and gone |

The much-rumored Mtv re-make of Rocky Horror has officially been canceled - thank God!
As for a sequel, there already is one... Shock Treatment! If you go on iTunes and search for Meat Loaf, under the podcasts, there is an in depth interview with Meat Loaf about the making of PELTS (amazing!!) where he talks for some time about remaking Rocky Horror. His comments are spot on about what does and does not need to happen. |

^ No shit. I mean, at least he could have cited Bat II, not that that's a film, but still...
And also, Richard O'Brien's been talking about a more direct sequel than Shock Treatment for quite some time. It's planned for the stage, and one working title as of the late Nineties was Rocky Horror: The Second Coming. No clue as to whether or not it has any ties to other sequels that have been booted about over the years. |
