Default Database Error

There was a vBulletin database error this afternoon, resulting in most of today's posts disappearing. As soon as we can contact the plumber we'll see if we can get them back.

I'm afraid that won't happen. What I can see from here is that there was a serious hardware error and that the latest backup has been restored and all posts made after the backup are gone.

Looks like all my posts have gone down the drain and it took me ages to think of sarcastic replies

I was wondering what happened alright, it looks like a lot of stuff vanished... did we have a burglar too?

Technology you can never depend on it. I thought it was my Internet kicking up when I couldn't access the site...then I seen the "Database error" thing on Twitter. I hope no ones hurt anyway that's the most important thing.

In the future you should put them in your backpack for safe keeping.

The whole site has been moved to a new server that has a different ip. This also means that the dns records needed an update which sometimes needs more than 24 hours to propagate, hence the connection problems on some end nodes ...
