As much as I can imagine many females slip into the catwoman suit I think The Riddler will be the main villain in the next one, but no doubt there will be a huge twist to that. I doubt it will be anything like the corny riddles we had in the stupid cheesy 60s series. Johnny Depp would be the wise choice I would imagine.

I think the Riddler and Catwoman. Nolan did an interview where he said he wasn't interested in the Penguin. With the realistic take on things, all you'd be left with is a standard crime boss along the lines of Carmine Falcone in the first film and Sal Maroni in the second. The third film was meant to focus on the Joker, so with a few tweaks the Riddler could fill the gap.

he said Penguin would be "tricky". not that he wasnt interested.

And yea I agree about riddler filling in the Joker gap.

of course this would bring the risk of batman 3 becoming a clone of the dark knight...

i just hope the riddler character isn't too like heath ledger's character, so i think it would be better to move away from it.

About the Joker.

How do youm prefare him?

Cartoon character bad guy? (the series)

Pulp fiction gangster? (Jack Nicolson)

Or very human and very damaged in the brain box with some good childhood truma thrown in? (Ledger)

How would the Ledger treatment of the joker translate to other characters?

ledger's version for me was brilliant,

though i understood the original Batman film, Tim Burton's one, more after seeing it because it was just as dark but with a little bit more humour

gotta say Jack Nicholson in some way seemed more twisted to me....not as hellishly evil but more twisted

I like Tim Burton's Batman, but it feels very dated today. Perhaps the same will be true of The Dark Knight in 20 years time? Heath Ledger's Joker is second only to Mark Hamill's animated one in my opinion.
