Default Question about US Concert Venues

Hello everyone,

I just discovered that I am going to be attending a second Meat Loaf concert this summer in California. Last evening I purchased tickets to see Meat Loaf and Cyndi Lauper at the Universal Amphitheatre in Universal City on July 25th. I have a question though and hope someone here may know as I am very curious. The Anaheim concert that I will be going to will be only with Meat Loaf, but the one at the Universal Amphitheatre has Cyndi Lauper in addition. Will his portion of the concert be shortened at Universal City due to this?? Just wondering.....
:)
Thanks!
Di

Hi, Di! I will also be going to both of those concerts you talked about (I hope!), plus the one up in Kelseyville. I'm not quite sure how it's going to be handled at the Universal Amphitheatre, but we received notice from Kelseyville that we were going to have an extended show and they changed starting times on us. Cyndi is going to do about 2 hours, herself, then there will be a short break and then Meat will do his 2 hours or so.

I haven't heard if any of the other Cyndi/Meat venues have given notice like this (perhaps they didn't have to because their starting times were okay to begin with??).

But I imagine that Meat will NOT shorten his show because Cyndi is there. But will do a full set.

I've also heard that at the end of his show, he and Cyndi will do a number together. So that should be fun to see!

I hope this helps! :)

Love,
MB

Have I mentioned that I am quite envious of those of you lucky souls who will get to see the Meat/Cyndi shows! I am such a fan of 80's music, and I really do enjoy Cyndi Lauper! People, please remember that full reports are required!

Sounds like you 2 will have a blast, Di & MB. :)

I know we are excited, just got presale tickets for Cleveland, and Cyndi will be there with Meat also, woohooo!!!

I suppose we may be the only ones from this board going to the WI concert, 7/11. Will let you know how things went. Guess I best start remembering how the new digital camera works.

Rock on,
T

I thought he posted on the forum that he's planning on doing 60 shows in the US :) He's got 30 scheduled so far .. so hopefully he'll be coming back and doing some more during a 2nd leg of the tour next year :)

I'm planning on seeing him twice in September .... The Mohegan Sun (Connecticut) and The Borgata (Atlantic City, NJ). I can't wait !!
