I wasn't sure if I should put this here or in the Other Rock 'n Roll Heroes forum, but I figured I would put it here because I'm not intending the thread to be solely about Tyler, but also about the show in general. I know that many here aren't Idol fans, and that's fine. It's sort of a guilty pleasure of mine- fast-food TV, if you will.
![]() This article is about Steven Tyler as a judge, and I somewhat agree with it. I like the new set of judges this season. I thought it wouldn't be the same without Simon, and it's not, but that's a good thing, IMO. I don't miss his snarky comments, although in many cases, I think he was absolutely right. Brutal, but right. http://www.nytimes.com/2011/02/13/ar...nted=1&_r=1&hp Anyway, back to Steven. I saw the episode they refer to in the article with the contestant's fiancee, and I was very touched by Steven's actions, which I felt were genuine. (Not to mention I thought Chris Medina was very good). I also like that this year they have streamlined the auditions, in terms of how many were broadcast. I enjoy a good trainwreck now and then, ![]() Anyway, I'm curious about people's thoughts regarding Tyler, the article, and/or the show in general. |
