Carnivale
I found some photos this morning from a party HBO held for its new series, Carnivale. Sadly, I did not see any of Amanda, but perhaps they'll be adding more pics as the day goes on and she will be among those.
Here is the URL http://www.wireimage.com/GalleryList...yp=gls===30555 Looks like it's going to be an interesting series. Love, MB xxx |

Did anyone here get to see Carnivale? I saw the first episode; it was creepy but in a good way, if that makes any sense. (Kind of like Twin Peaks) There were just a few scenes with Amanda Aday in it in the first episode, hopefully her role will expand a bit as the series gets a few more episodes in.

Hi, Vicki! Well, I was so surprised to find this old topic back to the top this evening. You know, you must be psychic or something! In this week's episode, Amanda is featured more than she has been in the previous weeks.
It IS a strange series. You're right that's not easy to follow. It seems to take some time to get into it--into the feel of it and the charactersm who are all, in their own way, strange. But my hubby and I have been watching it every week and are fascinated with the storyline. We find ourselves looking forward to the next episode. It is a gritty series. Sometimes, it's hard to watch. But if you allow yourself to get into it, it stays with you during the rest of the week, until the next episode--at least, that is what we've found. I don't want to spoil anyone's viewing of the show, so I won't say anything more about tonight's episode and Amanda's part in it. But I can't wait to see where it goes from here. Thanks, Vicki, for bringing this thread to the front again!! Love, MB xxx |

Actually you should thank Sherrie ... I was responding to her That's great about Amanda ... it sounds like a fantastic opportunity for her !! But I just don't like the show ... it's just not my cup of tea I guess :) Besides it's on the same time as Tarzan on WB17 ... and man I can't miss that ... oh baby ....... Vicki |

Hi again! Well, I just finished watching tonight's episode all the way through. I wrote my last post after seeing some longer promos and seeing that Amanda's character was being featured tonight.
And featured, she was!! I have to say, in terms of acting, she is already showing her father's courage in her choice of roles and her ability to handle them! Without giving too much away, it looks like if you wish to see her in this series, you MUST watch this week's episode. It may be a bit shocking to you, especially if you are NOT into the series. But tonight was her night!! Love to all, MB xxx |

Ive watched this show from the beginning, and its quirky, but ive liked it!
Amanda does a great job, however, you umm, do get to see a side (or two or three... :) !) of her in this week's episode that you might not expect! Having said that though, i was amazed by the outcome of this week's episode for her character as well, and wont give that part away either, but like MB said, if you want to see Amanda in the show, it looks like this week's and next week's (from what the previews showed for the ones showing in the States; not sure how its being shown overseas) episodes are your last chances. Which, like i said, that surprised me, and wasnt it at David's site that Amanda wrote about her character for the show? And i swear i recall one of her posts there on the topic said something to the effect, if you liked her character to write on the board at the Carnivale site and they may give her a bigger part next season?? And if that's the case, given that this IS a quirky little show, maybe there's a chance we haven't seen the last of her in this show? Guess we'll have to keep tuning in to find out! Take care! OK, MB and JenniferSal, you have definately got me thinking about checking out this week's episode. I watched the first episode, just to see how Amanda Aday did, but then I never quite got back to watching the rest. Now I'll have to figure out when this episode (you are talking about the one that was on last night, right?) is on again. We just got movie channels back, after nearly 7 years without, and wow- are we having trouble getting used to all the nudity! It's kind of a shock when you haven't seen that in movies and series in several years!

Hey all!
My bf loves this show, unfortunately we can't get it in Canada Hopefully it will be aired here soon. He's a big david Lynch fan (and the Canivale show is very lynch-esque) |

Just watched episode 5 again, this is where Amanda's character comes front stage. Then they kill her off??? No spoiler here, I wasn't going to tell but it is all over the net. Carnivale fans really love her! Maybe she wil be revived by Ben, who knows w/ this freaky show..I love it.
I just had to post about this, David created a great graphic of Amanda in the show, it's here on 10/13- http://mirrorofthesoul.com/greymatter/ She is a big hit on the Carnivale forums I've read. It's an amazing show...hope they keep her involved. Could the healer bring her back? Time will tell. T PS Will the Cubs make it to the World Series? |

I guess so FM. At least they didn't eat her!
We caught a Meat appearance on a TV show "Tales of the Crypt". Damn if they didn't kill him and eat him, ala RHPS. Geez, talk about being typecast! I'm suspecting that she may not be brought back in the next episode, as she has always been listed as a guest star. She sure has made an impact already. Good for her, she's a great actress and has Dad's charisma. T PS Come on Cubbies, let's win tonight, do or die time!!! |

No Rosie, you didn't dream it...
was from "Tales of the Crypt" ca. 1989 I think. Many big stars appeared there. Very trendy and popular at the time, in a cult kinda way. Just freaked me out that Meat was served in the diner. T |
