Ok who's messing with the PM's???
Over the last 3 days I have had 7 notifications of PM's to my email address and not one PM here!
So either :- 1/ They aint getting through to me and if anyone is expecting a reply I'm sorry 2/ Someone really can't make up their mind if they want to send a PM or not but goddamit 7 tries! 3/ someone thinks its funny maybe 4/ pure coincidence and its several sources. Still whatever I'm finding it a tad frustrating now |

Wellwellwell - I had another look at the code that's processing the PMs.
1. The Buddylist checks are done before sending the message. 2. The optional email is dispatched after the message has been sent. Now, this makes it rather impossible that the buddylist or notification mail are causing this problem. But I found another thing, and that is this: While checking the logs, I could see that some of you are sending a PM twice. Now, how's that possible? Read on. After submitting your PM, the webserver is processing your request and your browser display the submit form once again before you finally get redirected to your inbox. This takes about a second and if you click on submit again, your message and optional email are dispatched again. So please, do not double click on the submit button and do wait until your inbox is appearing again after sending message. And Dottie, do you have access to a different computer? If so, please check if you have the same problems. |
