I feel it isn't the true VERY BEST OF, but it is an amazing record. The 3 new songs are really done well.

Home By Now (No Matter What) - Slow powerful song, done really great. Steinman length: about 8 minutes. Took me to listens to like it, and now I love it.

A Kiss Is A Terrible Thing To Waste - Great song, awesome all the way through, if not anything, buy this album for this song. Chorus is great, but the rest of the song is better. Especially the end...and a familiar guest singer comes in at the end. Love the song, 8 minutes again, i'm guessin.

Is Nothing Sacred - The storytellers version, is a duet, and really done nice. This is Meat Loaf on his own, and the instruments and his voice are really nice here. Like in one of the songs in Bat 2, if you wait like 5 seconds after the song is over you'll hear a quick little instrumental thingy. Same with this song. Storytellers version is better, but not by much. :)

I donīt have The Very Best Of cd but I have heard the song A Kiss Is A Terrible Thing To Waste and female voice is Bonnie Tyler. The other Steinmans "favourite" singer.

I bought this version recently and I must say I think that the quality of the pic discs is pretty disapointing compared to the original release .

RSG I Was gonna ask you what you're on about regarding Is Nothing sacred being on Storytellers - I Was thinking of the DVD . But it is at the end of the Storytellers CD isn't it.

The version on the storytellers CD is edited (quite a lot)- the version that came out as a single in the UK is about the same length as the 'Very best of' version & is better than the edited version. Recommend you check it out if you can.

I like slightly prefer the single version of A Kiss is a terrible thing to waste (got my hands on a promo as it wasn't released in the UK) Its rockier & cuts out all the slow bits.

This very best of came out in 1999, this is just a re release with the songs in a different order. A good way of conning you out of another Ģ15.

or maybe its just to give the people who didnt get it in 1999 a chance to have it as a lot of shops probably wouldnt stock it after four years

Its not just that the songs are in a different order... It also says the year that each song was released on the back of the box too! Well worth another Ģ15 just for that!

But it is a good opportunity for people who missed it in 98 or new fans to get it. Some one must be buying it as its in Virgin's & HMV's charts (albiet not very high! )

They are both very excellent, I think I said I liked storytellers version more because of Patti. To be honest they are both equally the best.

I can't wait to get the DVD but that will be in time, cause this damn city won't help out a citizen looking for great music and movies.
