Default I need advice on the musical side of life!!

Hey Folks
I was just wondering if u could give me some advice:
Over the past couple of yrs I have been able to sing the vocals to most Meat Loaf songs that I have including B.O.O.H if I put my mind to it (even though im female). So Im at the stage of being 15 and havin a dream. What can I do to expand the amount of people knowing about this and also how can i progress in singing Meat Loaf even though my vocals for "Walking in Memphis" are also improved???
Please help guys!!!!!
hugs

Hi Leeann.
Basically get as much experience as you can in singing in front of people through professional equipment. There's a world of difference between singing in the house ang getting in front of an audience.Even when you rehearse something for hours you never know how it will turn out until you just get out and do it.
As your only 15, this limits where you are able to perform (it's not like you can head down the pub to the local karaoke ).

Many family parties (christenings, communions etc) employ karaoke's as well as discos. If you see one at a party, get up and give it a go .
Many areas have orginisations for young people who want to perform. These are volentary on your part, and in many cases you there is a membership fee, but what you learn, and the experience you'll get performing with them will only further your aims.

If there are any shops locally that specialise in entertainment equipment (dance wear shops for example) it is well worth popping in to ask if they know of any of these orginisations in your area as they should have a good idea.If not, try the local newspaper.

Last but not least, don't expect everything to go right every time.In fact there is a saying that your not a real performer until you've died a complete death on stage .But when things do go wrong take the experience away with you and learn from it.

most of all, ENJOY IT

I hope this is helpful to you.
