The Rare Songs: 30. Lost Love
Rare Songs: Lost Love
"Lost Love" was the B-side track of the single "If You Really Want To" in 1983. I don't understand why this one wasn't part of the MATLAF album. IT'S GENIOUS!!! But it seems that Meat has a nose for deleting the wrong songs off the album lists. There were a few songs on MATLAF, which aren't so good. e.g. "Lost Love" is better by far than "You Can Never Be Too Sure About That Girl" or "Priscilla". On the new album, you can also find two song, which are worse by far than the two B-side tracks. 8/10 |

I don't quite share your opinion of the song, Garrett.
It is a good song but I myself wouldn't use words like genius and amazing Where I do agree with you is that it is better than other songs on Midnight At The Lost and Found and I also do not understand why it was never on that album My score 7 out of 10 |

Lost Love is a good '80's song. No excellent but good. I don't understand too why isn't it on the album? I think we must not compare with for example Razor's Edge. Fallen Angel and Razor's Edge are the best - I think. And Lost Love or If You Really Want To is the next.
My score: 6 Average: 7.75 (31/4) |

?. Lost Love
This is the most beautiful non-Steinman piece of music from that terrible era of Meat Loaf (*It's the last song on my HITS OUT OF HELL cd*). If they had of used it on MIDNIGHT, it would've saved that album - by miles!
Who wrote it? And where may I find the lyrics? 10/10 !!! |

This is one of these questions that deserves to be asked to Meat.
I do love this song as well. 8/10 Patricia |

Chrissy, Lost Love, along with Keep Driving, is on the B-side of the 12" UK single If You Really Want To.

Now this one should have been on the album. It's better than anything else on there!
