Talking Beyond belief

Jesus H Tapdancing Christ, wtf is wrong with these people in the UK?

Quote:
Backside firework prank backfires

A man suffered internal burns when he tried to launch a rocket from his bottom on Bonfire Night.

Paramedics found the 22-year-old bleeding, with a Black Cat Thunderbolt Rocket lodged inside him, when they attended the scene in Sunderland. He suffered a scorched colon and is now recovering in hospital, where his condition is described as stable. A spokesman for the North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) said the prank could have been fatal. Douglas McDougal, from the NEAS, said: "We received a call stating there was a male who had a firework in his bottom and it was bleeding. "He sustained fairly significant injuries in the fact that there's huge damage to that particular area."

I am glad you specified the age...otherwise I would have thought it's somebody from this forum...

Which, of course, still might be true...but I had somebody else in mind...

What a prat that guy is! Everyone knows you have to stand away from fireworks when they've been lit. How could he stand away from it if it was shoved where the sun don't shine!

That's in my home city and Dame Dorothy St is where I go to uni! We're not all that stupid, though.
Well, at least it explains (sort of) why fireworks weren't going off until 2 in the morning like they were last year, everyone was probably too stunned by this to want to go near a firework after the 11pm curfew!

Sorry, but had to laugh at this bit:
"And also the body naturally produces methane gas, so combine that with the firework and the exploding effect with methane's flammability - it certainly could have been a lot worse than it really was."

The only addition to this post is that Jackass people are paid professional stuntmen

I could make a comment about mackems but this isn't the place.

I just keep thinking about in the bbc report where it said the body produces methane and the outcome could have been far worse than it was. I keep picturing Meat's death in 51st State, and the guy's friends standing around watching and laughing then next second standing there stunned covered in red bits!
geordieloaf: sorry I was abrupt earlier, and thanks for your post in my asbo thread!

Isn't it an urban myth that the body's internal methane can combust like that?

I know poeple used to say it about cows but there isn't a sufficently high volume of oxygen inside the cow with the methane to allow it to explode.

One of the reasons I love this forum

Where else could you discuss exploding cows in a serious convo?
