After The Fall - By TSO featuring
Patti Russo. This is a song where Patti sings by herself. Enjoy, I'm sure you will.

to my understanding he hasn't. *yawn, I been awake all night. It's now 8:32am in NB, Canada* Meat could record it supported by Patti Russo, or the other way around. This is a very special song for me.

Nice song, great voice. The part after the piano solo reminds me of Sweet Child O' Mine by Guns N' Roses.

(disclaimer: may have a death wish but please don't attack me for this, tiz only my opinion)
hmm much as i am a huge fan of patti's amazing voice, i wasn't too struck on this. I'm not sure if she'd sound good without the piano or whether it's just her sound on this particular song :shrugs: sorry. it did grow on me after a few listens, but still not too keen. can't quite place what it is about it though. RSG, that's not a dig at you for posting it btw, am v pleased that you did as i'd not heard it before - thanks! |

for me, the part after the solo piano is worth the whole song, but I totally love the track

I don't really either, although I suppose belting things out at the top of your lungs is fairly Meat-y, but for me, many of the TSO songs do sound Steinman-esque. I guess mainly because of the emphasis on the piano, and the over-dramatic style. Great stuff. |

There's a lot of stuff Paul O'Neill writes that reminds me of Steinman, but he has his own style which can be clearly heard on not only the TSO stuff but a lot of the later Savatage albums.
