I've not really heard her sing lately so that's always good to hear. :)

If she hadn't have opened for Meat on the Hang Cool Tour I'd probably never have heard her so I'm quite grateful that she did!

lyrics

WARREN ZEVON
"Porcelain Monkey"

He was an accident waiting to happen
Most accidents happen at home
Maybe he should've gone out more often
Maybe he should've answered the phone

Hip-shakin' shoutin' in gold lame'
That's how he earned his regal sobriquet
Then he threw it all away
For a porcelain monkey

He threw it away for a porcelain monkey
Gave it all up for a figurine
He traded it in for a night in Las Vegas
And his face on velveteen

From a shotgun shack singing Pentecostal hymns
Through the wrought iron gates to the TV room
He had a little world, it was smaller than your hand
It's a rockabilly ride from the glitter to the gloom

Left behind by the latest trends
Eating fried chicken with his regicidal friends
That's how the story ends
With a porcelain monkey

He threw it away for a porcelain monkey
Gave it all up for a figurine
He traded it in for a night in Las Vegas
And his face on velveteen

Hip-shakin' shoutin' in gold lame'
That's how he earned his regal sobriquet
Then he threw it all away
For a porcelain monkey

He threw it away for a porcelain monkey
Gave it all up for a figurine
He traded it in for a night in Las Vegas
And his face on velveteen

love Tracey Ullman, I have her Cd with that song on it. I have watched most of her TV shows, what an amazing talent.( adie)

By the Rivers of Babylon
Linda Ronstadt
I have been reading " Reading the Bible again, for the first time. Taking the Bible seriously but not literally." ( Marcus Borg) While reading a chapter the above quote from Psalms. 137 was taken and I could not resist looking for Linda Ronstadt's cover of this.

Ahh yes, I was actually also listening to the entire Breakaway album

As for Rivers of Babylon. I actually only knew of the version that was performed by Boney M.

Currently listening to

Avenged Sevenfold - So Far Away

Very emotional video and song. If you all haven't heard it you should check it out. It is written for their drummer who passed away in the middle of making the album.
