I wouldn't exactly say I love the Saw movies, they are mostly okay I'd say. To me some of them edge on being "just" disturbing, which is okay for a night out at the cinema and some scares but I wouldn't call it something I'd like to see again or think too much about. Whereas other bog standard horror films such as "No Vacancy" don't have this "disturbing" effect on me. It scares me just as much when I am watching it but it's just the disturbing factor I find uncomfortable sometimes.

I thought the first one was really good and the twist was something I didn't see coming at all. Also the title made sense in that film. The others are just cashing in in the franchise imo. I especially thought the second one wasn't so good.

I liked the first one as it was a very intelligent and disturbing movie. You dont find that combination very often.
I agree with Andrew, they should have left the idea alone after the first one.

The fact that they can release each movie just in time for halloween each year says something too imo.

Hellboy 2.

Was a lot better than the first Hellboy movie

Without spoiling too much, best scene in the whole movie IMHO (for sheer comedy)is sumed up with...........

HB - Abe - Beer - Barry Manilow

Seen it many times before and also own it so wasn't fussed missing the beginning when I turned it on Nick Of Time with the ever so gorgeous Johnny Depp, it's a good movie though has lots of close ups of clocks funnily enough !!!

Thanks to Oh Johnny for the capture .

Summer Rental (1985)

Another great John Candy flick in my opinion. Lots of laughs.

Sunshine (2007)

I quite like this film. It's a bit like Armageddon, though the story is even more far fetched . A lot darker I'd say this film is. Again brilliant music. Why they played such a crap song during the credits at the end is crazy imo.
Watching these movies on Blu Ray is quite intense. The bass makes my house tremble as if there's an earthquake. Insane.

The last film I watched was Mama Mia. Slightly dissapointed... but it was worth it just for the few minutes of amusement I enjoyed watching the expressions on Pierce Brosnan's face as he sang.

I watched about five hours of his videos in an attempt to laugh so much I started labour when I was expecting my eldest and getting decidedly fed up - since I was trying about six weeks before I actually had him, it didn't work, but I did realise the limits of my bladder!!!

That's probably too much information, right?

Probably, but as someone who has to take diuretics daily, I'm all too aware of the limits of my own bladder

Chasing Ghosts

not really a great movie. Confusing story and a very strange ending. Although I liked the idea of the mole being the new cop.
The Loaf stayed alive once again

Get Smart ( 2008 ).

Steve Carell is pretty good in this one. A good funny action movie. Has a few flaws and slow moments I think but overall definitely worth the trip to the cinema.
