Ahh... you see RJ, if you were in England, you could do both, by doing your food shopping on the Internet and getting delivered to your door...

It's okay if you stick to tins, packets, cleaning products, etc... I don't tend to buy meat or fresh fruit and veg on the internet - I've seen them picking the orders when I go to the supermarket, and I know how they treat them! At least the other stuff can't get too badly damaged, and it saves me ages doing it that way, since I'm feeding (usually) four adults and two children every day, and my shopping takes about an hour and a half every week, and costs around £160 a week.... This way as well I know what it's costing me, and there isn't the temptation to impulse buy 'cos nothing looks terribly appetising when it's written down!

The prices are the same as going to the supermarket, but there's a delivery charge, about £5, you arrange the day and time when you place the order. The later you leave it to the day you want it delivered, the more the charge is. It's usually delivered within a 2 hour window, anywhere up until about 10pm, so handy if you're working. It comes in a refridgerated van, so all your chilled stuff is still chilled when it gets to you, your frozen stuff is still frozen, and best of all, you don't have to carry it! Since we normally have to buy at least ten x two litre bottles of soft drink, that's a distinct advantage for me!
