Dumdeedum...as usual MLUKFC fails to form my much needed break from the crazies I take calls from at work.

Emma/MeatGrl1 - I'll admit it's got to be a good 15-16 years since I last saw it so my memory may be a hindrance here, but watch "A Night to Remember" instead if you haven't already. I much preferred it! (though after first watching it in school at the age of 8, I had a fear of boats for several years!)

I have a friend who hates going to the cinema with me now (especially if I'm accompanied by the only other person I know with my sense of humour) as she claims I laugh, loudly, when no one else in the cinema is laughing.

Did some poor bloke fall down the deck (as the ship tipped) on Titanic, and hit a propellor or some heavy object? I'm embarrassed to say I laughed then. I suppose it's understandable then my friend doesn't like cinema trips with me...! Appreciate it's not a funny thing to happen, just felt it was portrayed in a comical way. Maybe it was intentional. Who knows.

I wouldn't normally jut in like this, but can you drop it? Or take it into PM?

I´m amazed how a discussion about a movie can turn into a rant like this...
It´s only a movie lol

Helen, I agree but it frustrats me that a perfectly decent conversation is abruptly stopped because someone wants to start a fight, I do not want my PM box getting full of trivial crap because she's still in the throws of greiving, I have every sympathy I really do but I think she should take time out as this is not the first time she has started on me recently !!!!

Night to Remember had no bizarely matched couple, so far as I recall.

Small print : My opinion. I know many will disagree. I just didn't think Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio were the right choices to play OPPOSITE each other. Both great for the parts, but not at the same time. And besides, it's too long.

Should get used to and expect that by now, name me a film where he's the good guy and I'll faint with shock !

"One for you, three for me !"
I know that's The Three Musketeers so sue me... I need to rewatch that, actually like him as the Cardinal .

The Titanic was suppose to be unsinkable and that theory would of been right had it not been for one man, Ismay, he insisted that the last few boilers were lit and this in turn made the ship pick up speed but what wasn't known at the time, they were heading straight towards some icebergs, by the time the watchman spotted the massive iceberg was too late and she hit, the lifeboats wasn't filled and so more people perished than actually need be.

Olympic though close by wasn't close enough to hear Titanic's distress call or to see the flares.

i don't believe the ship was ever actually claimed to be unsinkable

and i'm pretty sure you don't mean the olympic
