has anyone ever had the problem that amazon reviews you wrote suddenly appear on other sites?
Just stumbled across a review for Bat 2 that sounded very familiar, and it actually was mine that I posted three years ago on amazon.de.
I did a quick search and actually found exactly the same text on 5 or 6 different online portals.
How can they do that without my permission? All articles mention my name as author, but still I've only posted it on amazon and never allowed it anyone else to publish it.

Can I do something about that?

It probably says somewhere in their t&cs they can do that. Amazon is such a huge beast they can do what they want pretty much.

It does. See the amazon.com T&Cs, specifically:

If you do post content or submit material, and unless we indicate otherwise, you grant Amazon a nonexclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, and fully sublicensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, and display such content throughout the world in any media.

Now if only you posted something here that was worth repeating 5 or 6 times that would be great

To be honest I thought that most places did that, included in the T&C's is a statement saying they can do whatever they want with your text or pics.

I'm so glad I only had to do two songs at tonight's charity event. It was WAAAAY too hot in that room. If I'd had to do 90 minutes, I'd have ended up with heat exhaustion

mtv was just showing a documentary on Michael Jackson's life from around 2000, ending with the words 'I'm sure this wont be the last we've heard of him'.
They should actually check what they put on the air, to avoice a fauxpas like that.

How long are your shifts? And do you have body armour? I think you do a similar role to the people I do tech support for. Most of the time I envy the role - except today!

Just being outside for half an hour on my lunch break was far too hot ... and I am much happier in my air conditioned office (especially now my opposite has gone home for the day, and I can have the aircon turned onto full wack and blasting out towards the desks instead of towards the wall!
