I don't think it's a good idea. Perhaps it's me (or I... lol ) , but I lost interest in several shows that had antagonistic will they, won't they storylines going once the writers had the characters realize their love and marry or whatever came of the recognition. Remington Steele, Who's The Boss, The Nanny, just to name a few. Imo it keeps a woman's interest week to week turing in and wondering, "Is this the week?". Okay, well THIS woman's anyway ... lol ...
Hey Tink,
I'm an avid fan of House and watch religiously. So yeah, you are right about the storylines going all romantic. It tends to put the squash on the mystique.

The thing is you don't know if House is hallucinating again or if it's the real deal this time. That aspect may be enough to watch the romance unfold. At the same token, if Cutty's character stays with the detective guy she's with now (who's name is escaping me) then that storyline is a done deal anyway. Cutty is supposed to have moved in with this guy and get married. Leaving that angle an uninteresting happily ever after.

If they make her character fall in love with House, then this is something the viewers haven't seen before (if it's not a hallucination). I can't wait for the season either way. Looks like the hospital is going to 'hell in a handbasket' according to the previews last night. I think House is very well written, if they make the love interests happen, I can only hope it doesn't fall victim to the "end is near" of the series.

On another show, the same type of thing has been going on on "Bones". Ironically on both shows, it's the male character that is in love with the female character. And the female is not reciprocating.
